Possessed of an extraordinarily wide-ranging operatic singing voice, Jane Powell was a radio performer from childhood. She took dancing and acting lessons, then made her film debut at 15 in Song of the Open Road (1944),

Best remembered for her roles the giant MGM musicals of the 50s, Powell starred in 18 feature films between 1944 and 1958, and in later years performed on TV and in theater to great acclaim.

On the big screen, she was a reliable actress who could also dance and sing with the best. In A Date with Judy (1948) she held her own against the brilliant Elizabeth Taylor, she matched Fred Astaire step for step in Royal Wedding (1951), crooned alongside Debbie Reynolds in Hit the Deck (1955) and may be best remembered in the fabulous Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

She worked along side film greats including Walter Pidgeon, Jeanette MacDonald, Ricardo Montalban, and Hedy Lamarr. Cliff Robertson co-starred with Ms. Powell in the 1958 musical comedy, The Girl Most Likely.

Powell worked in film and television steadily through the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s, including hit TV series The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Murder She Wrote and Growing Pains. On Broadway, she replaced former MGM colleague Debbie Reynolds in the 1970s revival of Irene.  In 2003 she created the role of Mama Mizner in Stephen Sondheim’s Bounce.

Christine Ebersole has enchanted audiences throughout her performing career, from the Broadway stage to television series and specials, films, concert appearances, and recordings.  Ms. Ebersole received virtually every Off-Broadway award and her second Tony Award for Leading Actress in a Musical for her “dual role of a lifetime” as Edie Beale and Little Edie Beale in "Grey Gardens."  Acclaimed by critics and audiences alike, the show was nominated for ten Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and its CD was nominated for a Grammy Award.  In 2009, Christine starred opposite Angela Lansbury and Rupert Everett in the hit revival "Blithe Spirit."
 
Other memorable New York stage performances include her Tony Award- winning performance as Dorothy Brock in the smash hit revival "42nd Street," "Steel Magnolias," "On the Twentieth Century," "Oklahoma," "Dinner at Eight" (Tony and Outer Critics Circle nominations), and "The Best Man."  She has starred in five City Center Encores! Productions, most recently receiving unanimous praise for her starring role as Margo Channing in "Applause."
 
Ms. Ebersole has appeared in many hit movies, including Tootsie, Richie Rich, Black Sheep, Amadeus, Dead Again, True Crime, and the recently released hit movie Confessions of a Shopaholic.  On television, Christine is currently a series regular on USA’s hit TV series, Royal Pains.  She was seen as the stripper Tessie Tura in Bette
Midler’s Gypsy, co-starred in the reunion film Mary and Rhoda, with Diana Ross in Double Platinum, with Jane Fonda in the critically acclaimed The Dollmaker, and had guest starring roles in such hit shows as Will and Grace, Murphy Brown, Cashmere Mafia, and Boston Legal.  Ms. Ebersole was a series regular on Saturday Night Live
during the 1981-82 season.
