FIPAP FOUR DECADES
Celebrating FOUR Decades to Build Security FOR Decades to Come
For forty years, Fire Island Pines Arts Project (FIPAP) has brought live performance, visual art, and community-centered programming to the Pines.
Looking ahead to the next four decades, and beyond, FIPAP has created the FOUR DECADES CAMPAIGN – a capital campaign highlighting four core pillars of the FIPAP organization. This capital campaign will strengthen FIPAP’s financial foundation, modernize our creative infrastructure, deepen community engagement, and seed the development of new work created in the Pines. Each pillar represents a $40,000 investment that positions FIPAP to deliver ambitious, accessible, and sustainable arts programming for decades to come.
Capital Reserve & Financial Resilience
The “Protect the next 40 years “ Pillar
FIPAP will add $40,000 to our capital reserve to continue to strengthen the financial foundation of the organization by:
Creating a cushion against fluctuations in inflation, annual ticket sales and donations
Ensure we can honor commitments to artists, staff, and partners without crisis fundraising
Strengthen FIPAP’s position with funders and partners by demonstrating long-term fiscal health
PILLAR 1
Infrastructure & Equipment Upgrades
The “Our Tools Match Our Ambition” Pillar
FIPAP will invest $40,000 in essential equipment and infrastructure upgrades that support high-quality arts programming in the Pines by:
Replacing or upgrading key production equipment
Improve audience experience, & accessibility at performances and events
Increase efficiency and reduce ongoing maintenance and rental costs
PILLAR 2
Community Engagement & Access
The “We Love Our Neighbors” Pillar
This is where we show donors our commitment to our neighbors and the changing demographic of the Pines.
FIPAP will dedicate $40,000 to deepen community engagement and expand access to the arts in the Pines by:
Creating free or reduced-cost programming and events for residents and visitors
Supporting partnerships with other Pines groups, and perhaps expand on that to Cherry Grove and other communities.
PILLAR 3
New Work & Artistic Development
The “Let’s Create in the Pines” Pillar
This is the “let’s create here in the Pines” pillar.
FIPAP will commit $40,000 to the development of new work that reflects and enriches the Pines community by:
Expanding our commitment to new work by providing additional commissions, workshops, and residencies, in theatre and visual arts.
Provide fair compensation and meaningful resources for artists and creative teams
Continue to build a pipeline of original programming with other arts organizations around the country.
